The bike tours
CYCLING TOUR IN GRADO
A city route that will take you to the various locations of Grado: the seafront towards Pineta, the old town centre, the harbour, the cycle path along the lagoon up to the the “Costa Azzurra”; a pleasant tour suitable for the whole family during which you can admire the lush gardens, enjoy an ice cream by the sea, take a break and discover the beauties of the historical centre centre or have a cup of coffee at the harbour.
CYCLING TOUR GRADO- AQUILEIA
A fascinating itinerary along the Alpe Adria Cycle Route that will take you back in time to rediscover the splendour of the ancient Roman city of Aquileia with the Domus of Titus Macro, the Episcopal Palace, the Cemetery of Heroes, the Basilica complex, the National Archaeological Museum, the Sepulchre, the Decumanus, the Forum, the Early Christian Museum, the River Port. At the archaeological sites the bike must be carried by hand. For the way back, we recommend a diversion to the villages of Boscat and Belvedere, surrounded by lush vegetation or during the summer season take the maritime service connecting Aquileia to Grado.
CYCLING TOUR GRADO - VALLE CAVANATA - CANEO
This itinerary is ideal for birdwatchers and nature lovers because once you leave Grado behind, you will be immersed in the Cavanata Natural Reserve. You will have the opportunity to observe flamingos and other bird species that quietly inhabit the brackish bodies of water. Continue along the entire waterfront of Fossalon, a long wild beach overlooking the Gulf of Trieste. When you reach the end of the bike path you will find yourself at Punta Sdobba, a place of “casoni” and fishermen.
CYCLING TOUR MARINA JULIA - ISOLA DELLA CONA
This route is perhaps the most spectacular from a naturalistic point of view as it crosses two reserves. The itinerary follows the FVG2 cycle path that connects Monfalcone to Grado, skirting the entire Marina Julia seafront before accessing the Cona Island where we recommend visiting the reserve to observe various animal species in total freedom: from Camargue horses to various species of birds.
